Heritage Hotel Kaštelet was built in 1766 as the summer residence of the nobleman, philosopher, and writer Don Klement Grubišić. Over the years, it hosted many prominent figures of the 18th century. The travel writer Alberto Fortis compared the beauty and harmony of this country house to those in Italy.

If you look at the front of the hotel, you will see the engraved year of construction (1766) and the coat of arms of the noble Grubišić family.

It is believed that the first recorded discussion about the old Croatian script, Glagolitic, was held in Kaštelet.

On the first floor, there is a balcony with a stone balustrade that you can access from one of the hotel rooms.

Kaštelet was built from carved stone in the shape of a closed quadrangle with an atrium, where a well can still be found today.
